The heron is a wood cutout that I designed. Toothpicks are used to hand carve lines into a paste I created that is applied on the wood cutout. Gold Leaf is applied carefully & varnished. Its attached to a painted wood panel and a sawtooth hanger is screwed onto the back to hang! Or it stand on its own on a bedroom stand or mantle.
